My "Why"

After graduating from NC State College of Textiles (now known as The Wilson College of Textiles), I did what we all did at that time and went to work in textile manufacturing. This was the time in your career where you show what you are made of. Technician school, night shift, lint in your eyes and your body covered in dye; that's what it was all about. Sounds like a miserable existence, but was actually one of the best times of my life. This is when I developed my passion for all things textiles and working with people from diverse backgrounds from all over the globe. People that know me can tell you how my eyes sparkle with excitement every time I have an opportunity to "talk shop". The textile industry is unique in that it is both an art and a science that takes collaboration from all parts of the industry to make things work. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to collaborate in the textile sector through my work at ImagineKnit Global. I h
